Cambridge Race Dates 2014 July-26th & 27th

Race course
One of the many reasons to become acquainted with the City of Cambridge and Dorchester County, Maryland  is the annual Cambridge Classic inboard powerboat regatta.

The Classic has been an integral part of the City and County heritage for 103 years, and the sponsoring Cambridge Power Boat Regatta Association takes great pride in its contribution to this continuing tradition.

For 32 years Andrews, Miller & Associates A Division of Davis, Bowen, & Friedel, Inc. has supported the Cambridge Classic with survey & engineering services. Delegate Addie Eckardt presented a citation from the Maryland House of Delegates in Appreciation of their community service. Charles R Woodward Jr & Gerald G Friedel accepted the citation. Thanks to Dorchester Banner Editor Logan Anderson for the photo.

Whether you are a long-time fan returning for more excitement or about to experience your first powerboat event, 2014 is offering first-class action with the introduction of the EPIC Series–Eastern Professional Inboard Championship Series. You will see the fastest hydroplanes, runabouts and Jersey Speed Skiffs the country has to offer.

The EPIC Series is a new progressive points series in addition to the traditional multi-class APBA program. Enjoy watching the teams compete for the EPIC Series inaugural crown. This is NASCAR on water! Plan on getting to all the EPIC Series events and enjoy great power boat racing!

Cambridge is RACE 2 in the NEW EPIC Series for 2014! www.epicboatracing.com

The Association membership's resolution of a FREE admission policy is a means of advocating tradition and free community entertainment to our citizens and visitors.

Cambridge Power Boat Racing Association, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is gratified and proud of the City and County and the renown legacy of our marvelous environment including the wonderful woodlands, magnificent waterways and abundant wildlife of Maryland’s Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

We welcome ALL visitors to our hospitable community whether the purpose of your visit is to hunt, fish, crab, visit friends and relatives, visit historical sites or perhaps to be a part of a tradition and catch a glimpse of The Classic!
